magnum D2, DD 9500, Diamond Audio TDX, or Kicker L7

hey,

I want some subs that will hit REALLY hard and still sounds great, also it has to be able to get some what loud. I want people to hear me coming!

Which out of the subs here are the best choice?

-12" magnum D2
-12" DD 9500
-12" Diamond Audio TDX
-12" Kicker L7

Out of the subs you mentioned, I would get a Magnum D2. Hands down the best all-around sub you listed...

Out of the mentioned the TDX is out of place. It is great for sq but doesn't pound that hard in a sealed enclosure. Its all about the install.

w7... Yea cuz you know it has CRAZZZZY motor strength... Same w/ ti's...

The mag D2 is one crazy mofo man, but the 95's have lots o motor strength (I seem to like motor strength huh?

Basically the 95's, an Incriminator Audio Death Penatly www.incriminatoraudio.com the mag D2, XXX would be loud, the w7 would be loud simply for the fact it pushes alot of air, but so does the XXX and D2 .

Get a Ti Pro, have it modded to a nice light cone,and call it a TRF lmao :p :p)

basically there are a dozen or so 'super-subs' out there on the market. they can all do SPL and SQ, how well they do this being dependant on amplification, installation and quakity, build and size of enclosure housing the woofer. these factors are actually more important than the woofer itself. i see quite a few kids who buy, say, W7's and get real pi$$ed when they dont get the result they had hoped for and quite frankly, the wrong sized, badly made (home made ), leaking box, 8 gauge wiring and cheap amplification are hardly going to motivate your woofer to perform at its best are they.

anyhow, these supersubs are, in no particular order -

Stereo Integrity Magnum D2

Image Dynamics IDMAX

OZ Audio Matrix Power

Digital Designs 9500

Diamond Audio TDX

Eclipse Ti

RE X X X

Adire Audio Brahma

these are all super-subs. the best of the best. all of these can yield excellent SQ results, with stomping authority and quality, providing the other installation criteria are well satisfied.

now i have personally owned and have heard around a half of those woofers, including the IDmax, RE X X X, DD9500 and the Magnum D2.

out of all those the only woofers that i shall never part with are my beloved Magnums and my DD9515.

all i will say is that a Magnum is the only driver that is good enough for a competition car owner who uses only genesis amplifiers, eton mids, audio control processing and a pioneer p9 deck

L7's do get loud, but in terms of quality they arent up there with whats listed.

money no problemo???

I do like point that out. So many people go by word of mouth when suggesting subs. Your very right. There is no "best" sub. I'm just sick of people giving advice and input on subs they have never owned or used. I don't post any relevant information in most of these posts because I don't have any life experience with a lot of the drivers in question therefore I am not at liberty to offer advice. I'm not one to go around spreading word of mouth like so many here do. I like to make sure that the people asking these questions understand that most of the replies they are getting are only word of mouth and opinions and that they should not view it as fact.
