Box size for kicker L5 12" Whats too big?
Ok, so basically Im wondering what size box is too big for a Kicker L5 12". My friend already had one made and so I got it for free. Its a really good box construction wise, Im just worried about the size. From what I can tell its going to be right around 1.5 cubes after displacement. Is that too big for a Kicker L5 12? Basically Kicker recommends a .88 minimum with a 2.0 max cubes. I figured this box will be ok cuz its right in the midrange. However, I hear these subs get a little boomy and distorted with too big a box. Anyways, just let me know what you all think. Also, is there anything that works like "negative" polyfill. Something to lessen the displacement.
