In those listed, the JL Dub7 is the only thing I see hitting hard.

    RE is holding a sale. 2x 12" or 15" for $300.

Ummm, no they aren't very good at all, whoever suggested the re's were putting you on the right path, they are very decent subs at a great price, if i were you, i would research a bit, and then make an educated decision, and not get stuck with some crap you will be pissed about buying a week later..

Also another site you might be interested in would be www.edesignaudio.com They make very solid subs and are really good for sound quality but with the right setup and stuff, then they make decent SPL performers to.

The MOST expensive Volfenhag i've seen was $90. They are crap and should've stayed in Germany. Oh, and they are not hard to get them here, they are all over the place.

Re: What's better: Audiobahn, Volfenhag, Vega, Soundstreem, Sony Explods or JLs

One time I was by Lady Liberty.. and I see this little red thing floating in the water.

I pick it up and it says Volfenhag. Then it proceeds to move so I throw it back in the water and point my finger across the Atlantic.

Few weeks later, I seen it a local swap meet for $35. The salesman says its the best, even swam its way over to the US.

Can Volfenhag and Soundstream even go in the same sentence? My brother had a Volfenhag 12...yeah...not so good. Great paper weight though!

looking at his list, I kinda doubt when he said JL he meant the W7, why would he go from 5 $100 subs and then list a $500 sub? and if its a JL and it's not a w7, it might as well be a Volfenhag. Prolly no one will agree with me here, but, Audiobahn is the best quality out of that list from my experience, and they have everything from cheap to crazy expensive.

you are absolutly correct no one will agree with you. why did he list all those ****** subs (including audiobahn) and then pop in jl? did he try to see how them subs compare to a jl by slipping in jl because he might not have the money for jl but wants to see how these others compare? if you want something to make loud noise and not music go with the audibahn then. i think we got you on the right track with re. i also heard some cerwin vega 15's (not sure what exact model) but they were some loud son of a *****es hooked to an old school rf amp, in a ported box. the sound quality wasn't great though but they were not bad for the price and the sq wasn't as bad as audiobahn. so if you are hell bent on them subs consider cerwin vega then, but you should really go with the re
