WHY THA FACK DO YOU HAVE IT IN A SEALED BOX?????????? Are you trying to blow the sub up? it'll reach full excursion way too fast that's your problem. Port the sub like its supposed to be run.

because thats all I had.

I understand maxxing it out in a sealed is not okay but this is literally 1/4 of the volume turned up and i hear this.

this box is basically just a means of testing it works before I build a ported

I just tested it free air and it makes the same noise..

ok, worst case worst you are getting a lil lead slap from the sewn leads. i will send ya out some felt pads asap monday or you can send in and i will fix.
this why i cover a warrenty. was the first time i reconed using a re audio x frame.

I was thinking that as well.. But lets not forget I had this sub before the recone and it got much louder than I have ran this one yet and I didnt hear anything like this.

So cant be the box, probably not the housing.. Most likely the leads, but that seems odd too because I was watching when I free aired and I couldnt really see them hitting the cone.

you bring up a good point willy wonka, it was shipped could have shook out one of those foam pads between the stupid mag cover and the basket and rattling. ya tap the mag cover and they make noise i really didnt like that cover,gayness. play free air playing test tones at a lower vol and really listen to make sure it isnt the mag cover though...
when i tested the sub i played it sitting on a piece of thick carpet and there was no noise.

but could be lead slap. no matter what it will get taken care off. i appoligise for any issue.

he textd me and he noticed small marks on the backside of the cone from the leadslap, sending him out felt pads first thing monday
ez fix totally my bad, learned on height of the x basket. single spider on a 12 spoke dont touch...

nobody's got a good 7" motor for me to build a badd aurse 8" with

i put a ad up on wtb but peeps asking about there 6" motors. smalled i will use will be a se/sx motor.

i want a 1500rms 8" sub! just to say i did it then maybe sell it off or add to my huge collection...

so how ya want it? i can make it a nice daily sub like the last big 8" you stole from my collection! ,lol ,or do you wanna make it for burping? if so i can machine a tripple joint collar and spider retainer ring and use stiffer spiders.

Just to be clear my sub broke because I am the spiderman, it takes a certain level of skill to break one of coreys subs, its not something easily done by your average car audio enthusiast. If anything, it should show you how beast his subs are, there is ~ 3/8" of CA and epoxy on that *****

yea i dont go cheap or skimp on anything. lucky ur aurse didnt unglue it all the way around, ez fix.

ca them down then pour the puddle of epoxy for extra safty, kids these days

and for the record: xd motors and aq sdc2.5 motors are very similar if not the exact same!!!! Ain't that right Corey ;-)
