    Icon32 MTX Thunder 4510 or Pioneer TS-W305C

Well guys, first of all I got into real subwoofers about a week ago :-| That doesn't mean i don't know anything, just I have a serious lack of experience :-(

So, plz help me with this:
I'm on a tight (really tight) budget, and I need a subwoofer. My options are as follows:

    Pioneer ts-w305c - about 94$
    MTX Thunder 4500 - about 104$

What I want from this? I want SQ!! SPL doesn't matter to me, cuz this is strictly for listening, not for drawing any attention to myself ;-) My choice is limited to these two subs, 'cuz they're the only ones available and worth mentioning within my budget.
I already have the enclosure (I know it's a dumb thing to have an enclosure not built for the particular sub, but that one I got for free ;-)) The enclosure I have is a vented one with approx 2.7cu.ft. volume

Well, sorry for the lenghty post, but I felt like it is more correct to outline all the things relevant to the choice I have to make.
    10x in advance!! :-)

10x for the opinion Jim, for me it's the same for now...I do run a Pioneer headunit and I'm happy with it. I did also own a Pioneer home stereo system back in the day. I have good impression of pioneer - good products, great customer support. On the other hand, I'm hearing MTX for the first time but a week ago the same did apply to JL and RE ;-)

Re: MTX Thunder 4510 or Pioneer TS-W305C

I at last got the full specs of the ts-w305c....
I'm kinda dissapointed by the Xmax of 9.2mm (0.36in)
That much Xmax just doesn't justify the large surround.
Anyways, I'll probaly go with the Pioneer, if I don't find something better in the next couple of days...

If you looked in my gallery you will noticed that I have one of the older versions, and they could have only gotten better sense then.

Re: MTX Thunder 4510 or Pioneer TS-W305C

Today I bumped into another option:
    JBL GT120.....
Now I'm gonna do some research on it. If anyone got some info on the JBL GT120 plz, help!!
The specs given by JBL seem very convincing, but I need some real world feedback... ;-)

go with the JBL if it is strictly for listening. if you want to turn some heads go with the mtx or the Pioneer.
