    another L7 question

i know yall r probabley gettin tired of me askin so many questions about L7s cause i have asked about 100 of them anoway heres one more

how would a 12" L7 with 750 watts compare to a 10" W7 with 500watts in SPL i know the W7 would sound alot better but i was wondering becasue my friend has a 10" W7 and i wanted to know if the 12" L7 would be louder so i could know what to expect from a L7 casue ive never heard one

depends on the box. in the right application, it could deffinately be louder

    Re: another L7 question

actually the W7 has a lot more excursion and sounds a lot better than an L7. soas much as i like L7's, id probably rather have the 10 W7, although its gunna cost you a pertty penny more

no, the L7 has the same cone area. and im not sure, but im pretty sure that slapping the title "SPL sub" on a speaker doesnt make it louder

    Re: another L7 question

oh whoops, my bad. i got this confused with another thread and thought you were talking about L7 verse L5. but the W7 has i beleive over twice the linear excursion. and a 12 L7 doesnt have double the cone area of a 10w7. not that those are the only factors.... but i havent had too much experience with W7's so i couldnt tell you which would be louder. i would probably take the 10w7 though, because weather its louder or not it will sound a lot better
