no less total air space 15x3.14(pie) is your total airspace with a 15 and 12x3.14 plus 12x3.14 is your airspace for 2 12s.

Depends on the make and model of the subs. As a general rule, 2 subs push more air than 1 slightly larger sub like jrmax explained. Also as a general rule, 1 15 will hit slightly lower bass notes than a 12, but like I said it depends on the make and model of the subs.
jrmax, did you go to 6th grade? the area of a circle is pie x radius squared. the area of a 15" would be 7.5 X 7.5 X 3.14, not 15 X 3.14. Come on, use your head
Wow sorry you are right man has it been a long time. Well anyway it still comes out to the 2 12s having more airspace so no harm done thanks for the awakining.
