New to Car Audio and choosing the right sub for our show car
I need some experts because all of this is becoming a blur.....
I am impressed with specs that the SSA Icon 12 has and looking for advice vs. other subs. i.e Hertz
I would marry it up with Zed Audio Kronos...
AAron has REALLY spent a lot of time with me and is VERY knowledge and helpful thus far...
SSA Icon 12D1: 1000rms, triple magnet structure, 21mm Xmax , 3" voice coil (much more thermal
capacity), BL 16.4, Qts .42 (can live in a smaller sealed enclosure) - 1 year warranty
The Hertz is another Sub that I am considering. Its the Energy 12. The specs of the SSA is about equal to the High Energy as it appears. 3 year warranty
So, how is the quality of the SSA? What about the sound? I looking for a good SQ sub and can really pound at the higher levels. It will be a sealed box.
We will be running this in our 2010 Camaro.

ok wasent really sure fiberglass etc, but i would go with the new fi q as it works amazing in smaller boxes and much more control with the new softer spiders and higher xmax of 28mm
if you want an amzing sub you will be hard press to find a better sub then
http://www.amazon.com/TC-Sounds-LMS-.../dp/B0039OTTHO
40 pound sub with 30 mm xmax.

Trying to find photo of what we are doing. It will not be fiberglass. It will be sealed and 1.0CF per sub. We have a 20 year box building veteran to build the box.
