Man, nobody is giving any props to alternative or rock music! You would be suprised how many alternative songs have sick bass lines for systems. Some hit hard, others are just really low.

The album Give Up by the Postal Service (alternative techno) has some of the coolest bass lines around, especially the song Such Great Hieghts.
