? is it true that some subs hit forward and some backwards? i seen a jl sub, on the back of it i noticed that it was a jl audio sign [sticker maybe] on the back of the magnet. anyway, does this mean that the sub hits forward since there is no air vent/hole on the back of it? would it be better to put sub that fire forward in sealed boxes?

i'm sayin' i understand that but would it be any difference if the sub had an air hole lets say as big as a rf 10'' punch hx2? thats pretty large hmm?

are you talking about a port? or a backplate cooling vent?

cooling vent sounds about right! how do subs made like this dissipate heat? do subs with cooling vent necessarily push more air?

nope just stops the coil from getting too hot it forces air over the coil thats why you feel it the pressure would be there anyway just wouldnt pass through
