RE XXX 15" vs. IA DP 15"

Hey guys im new to the forum and i need some help. Im setting up a new system and its either gonna be a RE XXX 15" or a IA DP 15" for the subs. Im kinda torn here and i need some input on which would be the better buy. Any other suggestions on other subs would be appreciated too. I have no budget.

What are you looking for in a sub? SQ? SQL? SPL? Daily driving or competition? From what I've heard the Death Penalty sub is for competition only (somebody correct me if I'm wrong). And the XXX is an insanely loud SQL sub used for either daily driving or competition.

Re: RE XXX 15" vs. IA DP 15"

"The Death Penalty is the ultimate SPL subwoofer. With two dual compressed poly nomex spiders and a triple treated foam surround, 38 mm of peak to peak excursion is easily kept under control. Handling 1200 watts is a 3 inch flat aluminum voice coil that comes in DVC and Quad coil configurations. Heavy duty woven tinsel leads, double stacked magnets, cast baskets, heavy duty top and bottom plate all add up to a monstrous 40 pounds. Designed by competitors, for competitors. "

Doesn't really sound like a daily driving sub to me, but nevertheless for SQL I would look into the following subs:

    XXX
    Brahma
    ED15A
    13W7
    Magnum D2 12"
    Eclipse Titanium
Digital Designs 9500 and 9000 series
    HC

    XXX 15"
    Viper Audio 2500d
    5.4cuft ported
    tuned 38hz

    154.2 Linear X

The Death Penalty series sub was designed for SPL competition. However, it has been known to be used in great sounding sql vehicles. It is basically a ground pounder that gets loud and sounds good in daily drivers, and gets extremely loud in competition setups with major power and huge boxes.
