    (20) 12" Kicker Comp VR's vs. (2) 12" XXX

Whats louder? XXX's would have tons of cubic feet, and 3500 watts. Kicker's would have about 2.0 ft a piece and 3500 watts. Either setup would be a wall in an SUV. I have to have serious answers here guys. My future system depends on it. I have been back and forth a million times between the two, so i am just going to let you guys decide.

    Your kidding right??

20 12" kickers can handle 8000 RMS, but still. 20 12"s versus 2 12"s? That is two complete ends of the spectrum.

    Re: (20) 12" Kicker Comp VR's vs. (2) 12" XXX

only 3500 watts for 20 compvrs? i dont think 175 watts is enough to get them louder than 2 xxxs even if theres 20 of them...

unless you get more power go with the pair of 12xxxs.

The comp VR only takes like what, 400rms? so 175 would make em tickle a bit.

Dude its 20 vs 2 what u think?

    Re: (20) 12" Kicker Comp VR's vs. (2) 12" XXX

20 should diminish the 2 xxx. no comparison there. i'm sure 175 watts would move them somehow..

    we're talking 20 here..thats....a lot of sub..haha.

then again, the poll says 10 compVR's..but still....hrm..

i'd take the CompVRs just because there are mucho of them. lol. wait til u see the face expression of the guy next to your lane bumping 4 10's or whatever. ahaha. priceless..

    Re: (20) 12" Kicker Comp VR's vs. (2) 12" XXX

to be honest i dont know all too much about subs; would 175 watts actually get them moving? i was thinking they would bearly move... hell you could compare the sound 1,000 subs not doing anything to 2 xxxs getting good power and the pair would obviously win.

but if the 20cvrs would actually get going then thats something different altogether...

    Re: (20) 12" Kicker Comp VR's vs. (2) 12" XXX

by loading your vehicle with 20 woofers, you'll not only render it undrivable (imagine what 20 woofers and the box to hold them weighs), but you'll also put yourself in a class that you can't possibly win a trophy in with those woofers and that tiny little bit of power. My suggestion is to go with the two XXX's and just see how loud you can make them.

come one guys, 20 vs. 2.

Even when under powering the VR's they should still destory the XXX.

D***, I mean on this board it's like the XXX is god. Everyone is on RE's d***. It's as if nothing else is out there.

I'm sorry, was there something else besides an XXX? I missed something...

In corner one, 20 kicker comp VR's weighing in a 2384 lbs, yay.

In corner two, the **** XXX, weighing in at 63lbs a piece

XXX's are just seXXXy, get two of those and push them hard. You'll be plenty loud.

    Then again, I don't know sh*t....

    20 vs 2 hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
that is not really a comparison. We are talking 2 totally different classes here. However like was stated above with that many subs with that little power you wont win many if any comps b/c the class you will be in will have guys with that many subs at like 1000wrms a piece or some ****! I owuld go with 2 XXX's in a real nice ported enclosure and put everyone in your town to shame! I mean 2 XXX's have the capibility to get louder than many multiple sub setups!!!

    Re: (20) 12" Kicker Comp VR's vs. (2) 12" XXX

My suggestion... study Alma Gates install and go for the 20 Kickers. You don't specifically mention competing in your initial post and 20x Kickers will out-displace the XXXs and have a huge amount more full bandwidth SPL. Heck... if you do it right, like Alma, you could even compete and quite possibly win.

BUT for ease of install... 2x XXX would be SO much simpler.
