newb question, does sub need to be centered?

I bought a ed 15k and i want too put it behind the seats in my el camino. I want too build the box and place it behind the bench on the passangers side so that i can put things behind the drivers side and maybe later add a second sub. But will it sound funny with the sub on the right side not being centered?

i doubt there will be anything noticeable...most any well installed subs fill the cabin well enough that its not "wheres the sound coming from" but "where isnt it coming from?"

and an ed 15 properly powered will definitly get loud enough that it should make zero difference to you what side its on

In a cab that small, it really doesn't matter. Sure you might be able to tell the difference if you had the time and money to build an enclosure that would fit behind your seat, in the center, and behind the passenger seat, but I'm sure you'll be pleased with it behind the passenger side. I'm putting my Magnum in the center between my two bucket seats in my Elkie when my install gets goinga little further.

what year elky do you have electro? Ive been thinking about doing a conversion too buckets but i like being able too take a third person. mines a 72' 350 btw.

Cool car! IMO the Elkie's went to hell in '73. Man they got ugly! I have a '69 SS 396. If you do a search for my name in the car audio lounge section you should be able to bring up pics of it.

Even when I had my 4-door Chevelle with a bench seat up front I only hauled more than 2 people probably 4 or 5 times the entire time I owned the car, so I love having bucket seats in a muscle car now.
