Icon32 Multiple subwoofer brand install question

Okay, I have this crazy idea to install one of MTX's RFL 15 subs, and also an Audiobahn Immortal 15" together in the same box. If I run them both off of one amp, would it work right? They both are 2000 RMS and 4000 peak. Thanks in advance for the opinions.

Ugh, don't mix brands of subs. Stick to 2 of the same sub if you want 2 subs. Different subs perform differently.

No, 1st off.. you dont need to mix differnt subs... also.. each of these subs requires alot of power.. your best bet is to take just 1 of the subs and hook it up to your amp/s...

Haha, okay, so the unanimous opinion is to not mix em. Okay, gotcha. But on the one sub idea, why not get two if I can? Louder. Thanks for everyone's opinion.

Re: Multiple subwoofer brand install question

Well, if you really want 2 subs, i'd recommend getting another kind because those are high power subs that'll take one hell of an electrical system to power em. Plus the RFL's are made for burps and not music. If you want to get 2 subs and want REALLY LOUD, go look at the XXX at www.respl.com

Okay, I have heard quite a bit about those subs on here, but only on here. It seems that everyone on this site has em, but nobody else has heard of em. So they are good? Also, the RFL wouldn't be good for daily use? I want really loud, and all I play is rap. So I am guessing that it isn't a good idea?

The XXX is loud, and still sounds good. The RFL is made for burps at competitions, and cannot handle that power continously. I know a kid that went through 3 of them because he would use it for daily driving and it would fry after playing music normally.

Well that *****. You wouldn't by chance know the power ratings on the 12" and 15" XXX's? Also, do you know their price? Thanks for all the help.

I wouldn't touch the RFL for daily use...has no motor control, and you get that coil off center, which will most likely happen when using it daily, there goes yer $700 sub
