    What's the deal with re?

    anyone know whats the deal with re? i remember seeing a thread a while back about them using used parts for their subwoofers? is that true? does anyone still purchase from them? i'm thinking about replacing my magnums with an 18" xxx, is that a good idea?

    nothing bad came out of that thread for the most part. They make awesome subs period.

    If you are looking for more SPL then that is certainly do-able with the XXX 18"... sealed box requirements for a decent Qtc are pretty high on the 18 though, and ported boxes would need to be fairly large as well (fairly high Q driver, so you won't have optimal SQ ported). Unless you've got alot of room to throw around and a desire for even more SPL than two Magnums... I'd stick with the Mags. Do you have them ported? If not, you can give that a try... two of them ported was nuts in k-marts car when I heard it.
