    JL w3

What do you all think of the JL w3? All of the audio stores by me push them (well JL is general)...but how are they really? What amp would be best for 2 w3's (either 10 or 12 inch)? Are they any good for sq? or are they just spl? Thanks

They are mostly SQ subs but given if you put them in a perfect box they will get loud just like any sub in a perfect box. As for the power JL says 250 a piece but you can get away with 200 or give them more they are flexible subs. If they are the version 2 i think you have to give them a little more power.

Like any well designed subwoofer, it can work for pretty much any application you need.

It can get loud, and it can sound good, just depends on the enclosure, vehicle, and power used.

For SQ purposes, leave it sealed, if you want more SPL, port it, and it should still maintain fairly good SQ.
