15xxx ported or sealed?

Alright so I finlly sold my dirtbike adn I ordered my system. I got the 15xxx with the tsunami 1800t, and cdt 61a components and a us acusticks usx4085, edead and a clarion dxz935. I dont knwo whether I should get a ported box or a selaed box for it, would it make that big of a differnece if I put it in a ported? 4ft^3 ported to 2ft^3 sealed.

it is going in a 2000 bonneville. Will I gain much by porting this sub or am I better off going wth sealed. I want it really loud but if I only lose a couple db from sealed I will be better off with that

first off, your are a lucky man second, everyone SAYS port boxes to make them louder and sacrifices a bit of SQ. how many people have actually compared this? was it noticably louder/crappier sound?

i wrongly tuned my box for 2 12s and it sounded exactly the same. it should have sounded horrible

the tsunami is only gonna be sendin the sub 900 watts, so id say port it to get the output your gonna be lacking from underpowering it

Actually depending on what type of config he got he still could get the 1800watts out of it...... You can get it configed to Quad 2. Which will give u a 2ohm load which lets you utlize the full 1800x1@2ohms of the tsunami

Actually there is why dont you go ask david. I was going to get quad 2 but i decieded not too cause i wanted to use the RE amps. And i also know someone who is getting Quad 2, so i think i know what im talking about. It does cost extra though. But there is a Quad 2 setup

I'm rez's freind and talking to him now, he cant get on the computer and i helped him build this system, he talked to the RE when he ordered it and he set it up right to run it at 2 ohms, which would be 1800W from the tsunami, His car also puts out a solid 14 volts continous, and he baught a Jell Cell battery also to make sure he gets it. He is getting either a dual 4 ohm or a quad 2 ohm, he cant remember, either of them can be run at 2 ohms, which he made sure to tell the RE man thats what he wanted. REZ 04 69: I am sure. I told him i could only run at 2 ohms with the amp and he said it was possible to make dual 4. there are his words. So what about the box situation?

you would be much better off by going ported! you cant really relize the full power of the sub with out going ported

For someone who doesnt own a xxx id be quiet. Ask TeamPSI. For an extra charge you can get quad 2. I believe i know what im talking about as i have a XXX and you have your little w7. Ask David i gurantee you, you can get quad 2

Thank you, like i said he talked to the RE man, and he is building it from scratch for him, so forget about the whole ohm situation...

i wanted to know if you guys think that the xxx will be louder then a 15 jlw3 in a jeep compared to the xxx in my car if I have it in a sealed box, that is really my only competition in this town but I also want to be in comps too eventually so basically I want to know if it will hit around 145s, or if it has the capability to
