Need a good sub with 600 watts. Suggestions?

Hey im looking to put in a 10" or 12" sub in my car. I will be running a ppi pc2600 to it so will be feeding it 600 watts. Any suggestions? I was looking at maybe a 10w7 or a 12w6v2. Those are pricey so im looking for other alternatives. My 2 previous systems ran 1 12 alpine type R and my other one ran 1 12" audiomobile mass. I have been away from the car audio scene for like 2 years ( no time in college really), but now am looking to get back in. Does anyone have sugggestions for under 300 dollar ssubs that have decent spl and sq? I dont need to rock the world, but just having good tight bass in my car is good enough for me. Thanks for any suggestions

one of your best bets would be a stereo integrity magnum d2. They can be had for $300 shipped and are amazing in both the sq and spl area....great sql driver. Drop it in a 3 cube ported box tuned to like 30hz....and you'll be overjoyed. it's very efficient...and if u ever decided to upgrade amp in distant future, it'll take well over the rms. peace

It would be hard for you to find a better choice than the Magnum D2 as stated by others. It offers the best of both worlds. Your statement " I want good tight bass" is what the D2 is all about.

Re: Need a good sub with 600 watts. Suggestions?

after many other comments from other sites as well as this one, i have decided b/w the resonant engineering and the stereo integrety magnum d2. I want good clean bass that is not afraid to get loud. i used to run 600 watts to an audiomobile mass 12 inch. i loved it. i am looking for something that is about the same or a bit better. i have decided to go with a 10 incher. i will probably have it in a sealed enclosure no bigger than 1 cubic foot. need all the space i can get in my trunk

    so a se10? or possibly a hc 10?
or a magnum d2 10? (do they even make that?)

do the ED's have problems? ive been reading a couple posts about the cones coming apart or something.

is there that big of a difference b/w 10 and a 12? i want something that is quite accurate and yet can pound. i cant seem to find on the magnum d2 website if they offer the sub in a 10". does anyone know?
