good amplifier choice sony vs. profile

I am thinking about buying some Infinity kappa perfect subs...12's handle 300 rms.. not the nicer ones that handle 350.. i am torn between two amps profile california ca1200.. and a sony XM-D1000P5 .. they supposedly both put out 900x1 max in 4ohm load... would a 4 ohm be good to wire the perfects in what would the wiring be, and are thos amps adequate .. they are mono and would be wired so would a 2ohm with a higher watt rating be in order? and would the subs work well with those amps ? they would be in medium sealed box

i wouldnt get the Sony.

Profile is a good budget amp. get the profile

Standard Infinity Kappa Perfects have a 350wrms rating. The new Kappa Perfect VQ's have a 400wrms rating. That's sort of besides the point.

California amps, nor Sony amps are known for their efficiency. Last time I checked, sony's burn themselves out after a good year of moderate use. Mostly likely, neither will give you the watts they say they will.

profile for sure. i have heard from a few people they do their rms power. they were the clarus series tho

What is your budget, maybe someone here could suggest something different that may be more efficient.

i was firmly against sony but i was convinced to get the sony 1600gsd last years model they dont make it any ;more it is a kick but amp and you couldnt tell me any less for the money i only paid 250 for it and right now it is pushing 4 10L5s and not doing to bad its a 1000 watts at 1ohm and i would believe it is i would just do your homework before you buy somthing thats not going to work maybe save a llittle more money
