Moderately priced sub that can handle ~600rms?

My amp is too big for my 15k I think, so I'm wondering what other options I might have.

Looking for a 60/40 mix, quality over push, but push is still desired.

I could go dual 12s, but I've been down that road. I like the idea of a single thumpin 15.

Pricerange is around $200.. May go higher depending on what I can get for my K, but $250 after shipping would be tops either way.

    Thanks.

i'm pretty sure that that single 15k could handle 600wrms. i think people were saying a while back that the k's could handle more like 1000rms if your careful. but if your looking for a new single 15, then i think the RE SE is rated at 600rms, although i forget because their site is still down, but that should do everything you want it to, and it's like $180-200. although, i'd get another oppinion, because i've been swept away by paintball for a good 3 months or so and haven't been checking up on caraudio at all.

With 600 watts, I don't know how close I can get to mind-numbing, but I'd like to try.

How does the SE perform ported? If possible, I'd like to build a big ported box (~4cf) and just milk it.

I haven't even installed the K yet, so I guess I should play around with that first to see if I even want to swap subs. Chances are, since I can get a better sub for not much more, I'll probably eventually swap to the SE anyway.

    Thanks for the responses.
