    dual voice coil

Can anyone tell me the drawbacks to using a mono-channel to a dual voice coil sub...

I have a friend with an a/d/s sub (dvc), but I have a 3-channel amp-he tells me I need to have two channels going to the sub or it won't work properly, or will cause harm to my system...?

    little help!

If it is one dvc sub @ 4ohms per coil then a mono channel amp would be perfect, just wire the sub in a 2 ohm load

    I wouldn't use 1 sub on a 3 channel amp.
