Difference between SQ and SPL?

People are always talking about SQ, what is it? I think SPL is the bass level right?

SQ = Sound Quality - basically how "good" is sounds; mostly personal preference and what you want to hear in your music. Sounds crisp, clean, hits accurate, opposed to sounding like complete crap.

And you're right about SPL.

An example of a SQ woofer would be...Alumapro Alchemy.
An example of a SPL woofer would be...Shocker Extreme III.
An example of a SQL(mix of both) would be... Adire Audio Brahma.

The good ones are VERY expensive to purchase brand new...you can get something from Radio Shack for cheap, but it wont be very accurate.
