    New Kenwood Sub???

Does anyone know about these new "super subs" as Kenwood is describing them as?

    http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2534

Anyone have any other info on them?

They copied jl audio by going with a 13" but the price range for it is from 850-1000 so it must be **** good or a big rip off cause it would have to be better than a w7 at that price and jl audio is a very respected company so it would have to be twice as good

Xmax isn't everything...some major SPL subs have very little throw compared to others (CV Stroker has 11 mm one way)...if it was built for SPL, maybe it has a nice BL peak...

    THIELE-SMALL PARAMETERS
    - DC Resistance (Re): 2.6 ohms + 2.6 ohms
    - Electrical Q Factor (Qes): 0.52
    - Force Factor (Bl): 22Tm
    - Mechanical Q Factor (Qms): 4.03
    - Moving Mass (Mms): 9.52 oz.
    - Peak Excursion (Xmax): 13mm
    - Resonant Frequency (Fs): 30Hz
    - Total Q Factor (Qts): 0.46
    - Voice Coil Diameter (d): 3.15"
    - Volume Acoustic Compliance (Vas): 1.945 cu. ft./55 liters

    qt - .4 - bl 22tm

no big peak...might be an xbl knockoff

i'm predicting a fairly thick top plate and a short wound coil...

    Ahh....I didn't see the T/S params...

P.S.- Any luck selling the 18" yet? If I had the $$ I would probably take it off your hands...but I currently have $0 in my wallet
