Decision made! NO rear fill... but which ED K? 12K.14 or 12K.44?

Ok, last time I ask about subs.... well, for a while anyway.....

I decided rear fill was not an option, and I would be better off getting a sub. My girlfriend gets the USX4065 I already bought, and I will pickup a USX2080 to power the CDT CL-61a comps when they come in...

Now, I am thinking that the USX600D is the best choice for a single ED K 12" sub, which I want to order soon! But, which one do I order? What are the benefits of ordering the dual voice coil sub (.44) over the single voice coil sub (.14)?

And will the amp I decided on getting power this ok? Since I am going to be running 2 subs, I am also guessing I will need to get 4-guage wire and a distro block.... am I right?

yea you'll want a 4 ga wire(if not 2 or 1/0 ga) to run to your distro block then run the necessary sizes from there....i'm not sure on what power that amp puts out at what resistances....give me that and i can tell ya whether to get the dual or single 4 ohm

The USX600D specs are:
250W RMS per channel @ 4 Ohms @ 12.9v input
375W RMS per channel @ 4 Ohms @ 12.9v input
not stable @ 1 Ohm

Do you think I will need more than 4-guage? I thought 4-guage was good upto 1200W.... my two amps combined would only be 535W RMS (the USX2080 is 80x2 RMS @ 4 Ohms).... or have I got this all wrong?

dunno about it man, but I'd like to hear about the sub experience when you get it, I think I'm gettin' 2 of the same....

4 guage wire is fine. How many subs will you be running 2 or 1. If 1 get the dvc (dual voice coil) 4 ohm one so you can wire it to your amp @ 2 ohms. If you are getting 2 subs get the svc(single voice coil) ones. Hope that helps. Good luck on the install.

I will be running 1, for now.... but, if I want to upgrade to 2 later, I could.... right? Thanks for the help ws!!!
