    Which is better and would provide more sound quality

    1 good 15" can get louder than 2 crappy 12's.... so what are you looking for?

    Depends on the subs and install. Size has little / nothing to do with sq.

    My Memphis M1 is a pretty loud mofo its beetin sum L7 10s but need more info about what you want!

    its all in quality and other factors.

    same 15 same 2 12's proper box for both same amount of power in theory the 12's would have more cone area.

    but i have out metered an suv with four 12's because of sucky as box and install. it is all about the factors in the situation

    Maybe the wording is wrong how about 2 good 12's versus 1 good 15
