There is no way he predicted to get a score like that with those subs. I wonder what other factors helped him get those numbers. What mic? What was it in? What amp? You know? Just everything?!!!!

    hard to believe

my friend's first stereo was 2 12" thumps. granted, he had a different series, the purple surrounds. he had a 600 watt MA on them and they sounded like 8's. i doubt they could have hit 120db. i find this claim kinda hard to believe unless like mgaidica said. the subs may be modded.

he could have had a cheater setup ya know. put a single 8" in the dash ported to where the mic would be and not tell anyone had a friend do that and did like a 158 with 2 12"s. then he got caught and was chewed out for like 35 min. and banned in comps for like 2 seasons. i still don't believe it though, although i did a 144.8 with 2 blaupunkt overdrive 12"s sealed and 1kw off an MA amp so anything is possible.
