Diamond Audio TDX 12D2 or Image Dynamics IDMAX 12???

I am interested in both of these subwoofers. I cant get either for a really good price. I want a sub thats going to reproduce any kind of sound thrown at it very very well, and i want the SQ to be great. I also want it to get loud and boom when i ask it too.
I have Diamond Audio HEX S600s components with M3 coaxials for rear fill. So i want a sub that will match with this set up nicely, and i do not want any gaps in the spectrum, i want the music to flow from the highs to the lows. I know its based on tuning and what not.
I want to know which subwoofer would be better? I can get the TDX for $424 picked up and the IDMAX for $370 shipped. Amazing prices for either subs, what do you guys think?
Please please please let me know. Oh and if it matters, i listen to ALL kinds of music, from heavy metal, to hip-hop to classical on occasion. If that helps.

I have heard both of the subs. My buddy has 3 tdx 10's in a sealed enclosure with a earthquake d2 amp and they sounded good, but didn't go deep enough.

I also heard a single idmax 12" sealed in an suv with a rf 800.2. The idmax was much cleaner, deeper and for a single 12 played very loud.

So i am guessing you guys are telling me to go for the ID MAX 12"!!! For $370 shipped, i think i might as well try it out. I mean i do not have money to throw away and thats why i am picking high quality product for my system at really good prices, and if you audio gods feel the ID MAX is better than i think i will go for it.

Anyone else have any opinions you care to share???

well i have 2 id max's they hit hard very clean bass I havent heard any subs as clean as the maxes but we dont have focals or anything in colorado

i have the TDX 12" and i love it, but the sub is really power hungry. i have it running off a diamond D5 600.1 amp (600watts) and it hits pretty hard, but i heard the same sub running off a 1200.1 and that was just sweet. the suspension is really stiff on those subs, thats why i dont think mine hits that hard because its only getting the 600watts (the amp is underrated, but still, 1000+ watts is best i say for that sub).
i personally never heard the IDMAX, but i have never heard anything bad said about it. if you're not going to be running lots of power to the TDX, like 1000+ watts, look else where, because after hearing the 12" off a 1200 watt amp, i started saving so i can upgrade to the 1200.1 D5

I think i am leaning more toward the iDMAX because it does not need as much power to pound its arse off and its cheaper. All i have heard so far was that its an amazing sub.

Where are you buying the IDMAX? If it is an unauthorized dealer anyway; dont buy it for that price. Carmedia1.com has it for 280 but its unauthorized so no warranty.
