hey guys i need your expert advice on this one

alright right now i have 2 infinity perfect 12's in a custom built ported box with an audiobahn 2200 hcx powerin them well instead of upgradeing to a pair of 15's i've decided to buy another perfect and i need you guys to tell me witch you would think the three would sound louder in a ported or a sealed? thanks for your help

Ported would be louder, but I don't think it will matter much with that kind of power and that many subs.

if ur gonna run infinity perfects, put them in a sealed box, they werent meant to be spl subs, but rather sq subs. putting them in a ported box will be defeating the whole purpose of this sub. with 3 subs, u should be banging anyways, so dont worry about ur box putting out major spl, but get one that will put out good sq, and the subs will handle the spl part for u.

I'm with you on this one. If you want loud sell the Perfects, and upgrade to a "SPL" sub, if loud is what you really want. With the right setup, you'll only need one "SPL" sub to quake.

well i tried it out today and letme tell yeah holy hell! them subs were slammin, before i went and payed for it i talked to alot of buissness's around here and they all told me the same that those subs in ported boxes are freakin mean *** beasts and i looked at crutchfields and they said to put three in a ported then of course i wrote infinity and they said to put them in a ported andand i was reading my manual for the subs and they said infinity perfects perform there best in ported boxes, so i have my 3 ports tunned to 32hrtz and my subsonic filter at at 40 hrtz and i went and got metered and i hit 151, so i guess it was a good idea to get those ported thanks again for the help. peace out ninjaz
