I'm kinda partial to Fi, but I'd have to say your better off with the Fi Q's. Send them an email and ask about a recone kit for the Q, it's going to be a lot cheaper than trying to rebuild the RE.

Re: RE VS FI which should i get?

Fi. I think you will be much more happy with there customer service. I bought a recone for my BTL and it was $125 with the rubber gasket, So I imagin a Q recone is no more then that. Also dont worry about over powering the Q...People give their q's 1800w RMs and they love it.

Why not try this, take the blown HC and have Scott recone it with Q soft parts......it will sound great....I know because that's what I'm currently running in my car until I start the total rebuild.....

The Q will take up to 1500 without options, and ~ 1800 with options. Its a good driver.
