1. ## 4 comp vr's

i will be running 4 comp vr's. Do you guys think i should port it or not? If i do does anyone have the site where i can put in my configurations and see how big to make the port. Also, do how many nertz should i tune it to?

2. Port the buggers!!! You will be blown away.

30-35HZ = good everyday listening
35-50HZ = good SPL

rough numbers, give or take a few each way... Give them about 2 cubes each ported. Should be plenty, still maintain SQ but get a heck of a lot of SPL.

3. i think youll need more than 2 cubes try like 3-4 per sub if space permits

4. I was trying to keep it somewhat feasable. Even a total of 8 cubes is pretty frickin' big. The 3 to 4 cubes would be even better. yeah, listen to him, he knows what he's talkin about!:p

Cubic feet, thats how boxes are measured...

Length x width x height, will be inches^3...so you divide that # by 1728, which is the equivalent of 1 cubic foot in inches, and that will give you how big your box is(in feet^3, or course)

what we mean by cubes is cubic feet a cubic foot is a box that is 12x12x12

9. cubes = cubic foot. and that is the total amount of airspace in the box. when they say 2 cubes, it is like saying 2 cubic feet of airspace..

and, if you have room go ported on your box, and if not, well.. go sealed.

goodluck

:edit: beat me to it.

10. ## thats what i thought

thats what i thought, but i had to make sure, i also refer to other things as cubes, so you think i should make box 3 or 4 cubes? if so how big should i make my port, and is slotted bettter than round?

11. who want to sketch him up a sample idea for his box

12. ## that would be nice

haha i have an idead but that would be nice
id appreciate it

13. ## Definately Slot

Go slot ported, you can build it outta the box itself and tune it accordingly to what you want. I've always been a fan of slot ported boxes because they dont have any port noise and even if they did you could round off the edges. Can go wrong with ported.

14. ## ok

well if anyone has any diagrams on how big to build my box and the slot ports, i would appreciate it, i can put the dimensions of my hatch on here tonite
