I think my other thread is all worn out.. "R" ****... diff Q

Well, I tried incorperating in with my other type "R" thread, but no one is lookngi at it anymore..

Anyway... How much power could I safely give each one...? Would I be better off Running one ported through the back seat or the rear deck? Off of what ever power, with a cleaner signal? Or two with less power each, and a dirtier signal not porter towards opening of trunk?

More power + clean signal is way better than less power and a distorted signal.

I hear people giving R's 1kw each daily round these parts.

So you think 1@ 1000w with a singal the I KNOW the amp can handle, would be better than 2@ 750w each with a signal I'm not so sure about?

2@750 will be louder then 1 with 1k provided you have room for proper box.

I missed the part where you said 2 subs off lower power. Reading > me.

There's some window sealant that is a thick foam strip (approx. 3/4" wide) with a sticky strip on one side. Try applying this to the back of the plate. Available at the depot.

Sounds like it would work! Thanks.

    clean signal = happy woofer

dirty signal = distortion = dead woofer/you eating your own foot when it blows in a few weeks....

I would rather have 2 with 750 each. Contrary to popular belief, I don't think 1kw is good for a type-r in a daily setup. 800-850 is the max I would recommend.
