i definately do not recommend this, but i've heard of some people running their amp in 2-channel mode with each channel going to each voice coil; however, i would thereorize that this way would mess up the woofer. you could just get another one to run both of them in 2-ohm, though.

well, i'm not sure, but i think the jbl 600.1 is 1-ohm stable and that it should send out about 600 watts at 1-ohm. don't quote me on that though.

i talked to rangerman online and he said that it was, so i am going to get that and run it at 1ohm.

is there any special way i have to wire the sub since it will be a 1ohm load?

yes, u fine running the jbl amp at 1ohm...i have it and it is 1ohm stable but it doesn't put out more power at 1ohm compared to 2ohm...but it is underrated a littl so u'll be getting about 650-700 watts. AND, i'd make sure u have that K in a small sealed box if ur going to be sending it that much power all day, and watch the gains. peace

i have a 3 ft^3 box myself, and i think a 2.5 ft.^3 would do fine ported. wire the subs in parallel mode to get the 1-ohm total.

i'm well aware that K's can take sometimes well over their rated power...but i don't know if i'd send 650-700 watts to one K in a 2.5 cube ported box!? u might be ok, u should call ED and talk to Ben and tell him ur application, or PM loyd...they could tell ya for sure. Loyd has sed b4 though, that no1 should send more than 600 watts to 1K for daily driver applications...i'm sure it'll take the power but it might not "be happy" so call Ben, he's cool and real easy to talk to. peace
