WHich would have its advantages and which overall would be better to have?

cone area plays a major role....

the 2 12's is the better of the two no doubt....reason inclue: cone area, mass of cone (the 12's should be a little crisper), plus I am just not a huge fan of 15's

I happen to be a HUGE fan of 15's

But theres no doubt the 12's would prevail in this case

same with these guys..i love 15s...i dont like punchy bass too much..but the 12s would beat the 15

If box were the same, 12's. If 15 had ported vs 12's sealed, 15.

i dont know...it matters what the tuning frequency is...that way would probably be a close call..

two 12's would supply tighter bass than one 15........ go with 2 12s
