    Brahma Installed... why not loud?

Ok, finally had to take it to a shop, don't trust those guys further than I can throw them, but they made me wait an hour, finally took in my car and wouldn't let me watch. They fixed it, to some extent, in that I am getting a green light from my amp and there is sound coming through my sub. They said the little yellow power wire in the back of my amp was coming out (though they installed the HU so it was their fault to begin with). ANyway, Now I got it all wired up, but its not very loud. I messed with the gains, functions on my alpine, and all that, but it only gets kinda loud (Though I was being careful not to push it too hard, I know i am supposed to break it in). ANy ideas why I am not getting much sound out of it? Anyone know specific settings on an Alpine CDA-7894, a kicker 1200.1, or the Adire Brahma that might help? I haven't tried switching the speaker wires, but maybe I got the pos and neg mixed up (though I checked it 2 times when i put it in).

Make sure they wired it correctly. They may have wired it to 4 ohms, and its getting little power. Also, give it a little bit to break in. Try and match the gains with the voltage on the head unit (prob 4 volts)...

Should be loud with 1200 watts and it tuned that low. Checked for leakage in the box?

K will do. I realized I only put 4 of the 8 screws into the sub to hold it. Could that be making a big difference? I will get the exact measurements but they're like (lxwxh) 22x24x12 something like that. Sub is facing up and the port (which is shorter than I asked the guy to make it, but he said he had to do it this way is also facing up will get specs on that too.
