    subs cutting in and out

Ok guys, when i play my subs on a sine frequency really loud and the system has been on for a while, it sounds like the cd player skips just a little bit, or the subs cut in and out very quickly, could it be from my amp being overheated, and if so, how can i succeed in blowing my amp, cause ive got a 4 year warranty on it no questions asked, cause they dont carry that amp any more, that means either a similar mtx or Rockford amp.
    Thanks

I would check and make sure the wiring to the amp and the subwoofers are not loose, also check the wiring hareness to the HU that might have a few loose wires. In blowing the amp if there are no qu's asked just tell them that the amp has started to over heat, and has never done this before, chances are they dont care and you will get a new amp.

usually when a sub kicks in and out like that it is the ground wire. try setting a new ground point in your car. see if that does anything. ifnot....id say its a problem with your amp.
