Who here has (or has heard) the new Alpine SPX-177A components?

I am trying to find a local shop that carries the Alpine SPX-177A components but so far, no one in town has them. Just curious if any of you guys here have them in your car or at least if you have heard them in a shop / buddy's car or something.

The Alpine Type-R component tweeters were a little nappy, in my opinion. They just flat needed some help. But the new SPX line looks to use a completely different tweeter, so maybe there is hope.

    Anyone?

They sound great, Tungsten. Very smoothe mids with a not-so-harsh tweeter. I have a pair of the SPX-137A's that I am gonna have installed in a while.

Cool. I need to find a place that carries them. I really think I'd like them but I want to listen first. The past two component sets that I have owned, I bought sight unseen ... and I'm wary of doing that again.

I have SPX 177A in my car installed since Dec 02

I have run it for about 100 hours and the sound is Very Good.

Vocal output is soft and natural. I am very impress by its cross over which facilitate various fine tuning in terms of angle and DB, excellence.

For High range output is just crystal clear without distortion, I anjoy it very much

Do consider it if within your budget

    No, not you.

Thanks! I just sort of skimmed the thread and didn't think while I was replying. Sorry.

Well balanced sound? Tweeter not too harsh? Solid midbass? Warm midrange? I'm all over these if they are that good!

They are indeed that good. I turned on a Jurassic 5 song where the bassline is solely midbass, and my 15 didn't pick it up, but the midbass woofers hit it perfectly. It sounded like heaven.
