    Opinions on KFC-XR601 speakers?

    http://www.crutchfield.com/S-NSfrVEi...asp?i=113XR601

Toying with the idea of replacing my Kicker K57.2 component set up front (1998 Mustang GT) with these. The Kicker tweeters are just too bright and the midrange / midbass tends to be very muted in comparison. Going back to a pseudo-component coaxial like this seems like a great way to correct the imaging problems of having a seperate tweeter up high.

Thoughts? Anyone here used them? JMAC, I thought I saw you recommend these in another thread.

Hmmm. Onlinecarstereo has them for $129/pr right now so I'm really leaning toward doing this. The catch being that they will be my only full range speakers, with my pair of Alpine SWR-1021D's backing them up from the trunk. Hope they can keep up!
