    Type R cant hit 80hz?

Alright, so my system is in my sig. And like the first 2 notes in 2 step I can only hear my door speakers, and the last 2 the sub kicks in hard. I tried messing with the crossover with my amp but if I go any higher I can hear vocals through the sub. So am I just kind of stuck with that or is there anything that I can do to change it?

With my last subs and amp I would hit those and it would beat the **** out of my rear-view mirror. And I kinda want that again.

Re: Type R cant hit 80hz?

Its a mono block and there actually is no LP or HP you just move the dial to select 20hz to 320hz.

I know my box is tuned to 34hz and I know what that means. I was just wondering if I could do anything to my amp to try and get those notes to sound better by asking some of the more experienced people around here. I was not asking the e-thug assholes for their opinions.

dude your the ****ing retard. that has to do with fvck all with what hes asking HAHAHA your an idiot.

annyways back to the poster. does your cd player have any type of adjustment for xover points? you could use those to set the filters IF you have them...also by the looks of your post it sound slike your not familiar with the amplifier which to me sounds like it might be new...did you set you gain or are you just doing a direct swap of subwoofers?

from what i under stand he tried using the dial but after a certian piont their is vocals because hes turning it up to far...im assuming he just doesnt have the gain turned up which would give him no output.

Re: Type R cant hit 80hz?

When I have it around 100hz I hear vocals. My boost is down low so it just uses the sub-sonic filter and my imput gain is around half way, on my HU my bass settings are bass: -6 and mids: -1 or around there and high: +3

On this HU I do not have any of the filters aviliable and my preouts are 2v

do you have another amp you can borrow from a friend? so you can swap and see if you maybe got a bunk amp?

also first thing is first. set the knob to around 80hz...100 is a little high. maybe even 75 or so. second put bass at 0, mids at 0, and high at 0. just start even thing off flat. set your gain the right way (i suggest using a -6 db test tone since they work fine for me and you get better output then with a 0db tone) and try it now. its always best to just start off with a level surface...meaning turn all settings to 0, no bass boost, subsonic filter at 0. and please double check your wiring. you could have it wired in series instead of parrellel and your sending less power to the sub than you think.
