Multiple speakers on same channel, how to figure....
My frontstage consists of 3.5" and 5.25" speakers. They're currently at 2 ohms running off the stock HU. I'm thinking about picking up a USX2050 (80 W RMS x 2 at 2 ohm, 50 W at 4 ohm) and giving those speakers some love. One curiosity I have, though, is what should I expect for the power those speakers will get. The 3.5" are rated for 5-60 W RMS while the 5.25" are rated for 40 W RMS, 80 W max. In parallel speaker wiring, should each speaker be able to handle the full power or do you figure half power, the sum of the power of both?
