Multiple speakers on same channel, how to figure....

My frontstage consists of 3.5" and 5.25" speakers. They're currently at 2 ohms running off the stock HU. I'm thinking about picking up a USX2050 (80 W RMS x 2 at 2 ohm, 50 W at 4 ohm) and giving those speakers some love. One curiosity I have, though, is what should I expect for the power those speakers will get. The 3.5" are rated for 5-60 W RMS while the 5.25" are rated for 40 W RMS, 80 W max. In parallel speaker wiring, should each speaker be able to handle the full power or do you figure half power, the sum of the power of both?

Hehe.... the way the jetta component set was installed was a 4" cup with the foam tweeter in the dash with a capacitor attached wired in parallel with the mid in the door. I simply attached my speakers in the same way (granted, I used bass blockers, but it's still two aftermarket, 2 way speakers are attached to the same line). I figured that the HU fuse blowing or something would be a good reason to get an aftermarket system, but so far nothing's fried.

[oops, edited the "series" in teh first post to be "parallel"]
