    How would u guys compare a Vega 124 to an Alpine Type R?

    Im looking into buying 2 12's i want both sound quality and SPL they are both almost the same price... which one should i get?

    type r's are a very nice sounding woofer.....put it in a sealed box and give it some nice power and it will hit nice and sound clean.....Cerwin vega aint to impressive on the sq side...

    Get some nice ones up front with a amp on them, and sell the back ones. U wont hear them

    you don't need rear fill....if it's a selaed trunk you aint gonna notice much between ported and sealed

    Have you heard the vega series , The 2 12's I had in my truck sounded fricking amazing for being ported , I would put them up against any ported sub for SQ and SPL , I loved mine !! They hit hard , They go way low and hit you like a semi with impact ! Plus they sound great ! You Crazy ! Or you havnt heard them set up properly !!

    Vega series are not made to be in a sealed enclosure , They are made only for ported applications Put them in a sealed box and yes there are going to sound well nto so good ! The Vega IT or Intense series are there Higher end sealed design sub , The stealths are there cheap line of "universal" subs . The Vega Series sound awesome if setup properly :p

    man i got a buddy who has done 146.4 with a single stealth 15.....but they sound awful no matter what seald or ported....
