Is it ok to put 2 Subs in one vented box and save volume?

So, is there any advantage of sticking 2 Subs in one vented encloure, non seperated? Im limited to making a 3.5 sq foot box for my truck, and i want to put in 2 7500's powered by a 1600x1 @ 1 ohm amp, and want this box to be ported.... is it ok if both subs are in one box w/o being seperated, or should i go ahead and sacrafice box volume by making 2 vented boxes, wich would be under the suggested ported box volume by manufactor? Or will 2 7500's running in 2 sealed boxes sound better?

I made a mistake by ordering the MTX 7500's and now i gotta pay to send em back, like 40 bucks... is it worth it to send em both back and buy 1 9500?

Im so pissed, so lemme know what you think my best option is. My truck is a 01 tundra so im limited to building a max box volume of 3.5 sq feet (before subs).

They'll be fine in one box together, it's actually uncommon to split up subs when you go ported, AFAIK.

as long as they both have their recommended air space. e.g. one sub needs atleast 1.75cf, then you can put two in a box thats 3.5cf. It's o.k if they share air space as long as they're in their recommended air space.hth

Yes for 2 12's. I dont think that i have enough air space, each 12 inch 7500 is speced to be in a 2.00 sqft box.

Oh, btw, these are the 'canadian version'. I was told it was the same as the 7500 by sonicelectronix...lets hope it is.

You think 2 7500's pushing 600 watts each will last in a sealed box and still pound? Ive only had limited MTX experience and i got these at a great buy.
