Hi, guys I just ordered my new H/U a clarion db625mp.. and I just Have left 200 dlls (that's all I have) and I want a sub and an amplifier..


what I´m thinking is Audiobahn AW120QS svc 4ohms 500rms with a Profile California 800sx 600X1 at 4ohms I think... what do you guys think??

what would you buy and where.. I want something about 450-600watts rms

$200 for a sub and an amp? Better off saving for a while. You'd need a wiring kit and box too ya know.

If you're going to do this, you'll want to lay down a fat wire so that you never have to lay down a new one. I only have a single sub and I ran a 4 gauge wire to the back with distro blocks on the off chance I might replace the stock speakers. I bought an RF dual amp kit for $115 from thezeb.com. You can buy raw materials for much less than that, but you'd still spend $50 on the wires from what I hear.

You may want to read up here and figure out what sort of box and speaker you want, then spending some money on building your box (after you've decided what you're oign to get and figured out the specs) while you save up.

Also, when it comes to amps, you can never have too much power. I hate to say it, but after you go through the trouble of mounting an amp, if you decide to add another speaker, you'll wish you'd bought the next model up. Get an amp with an RMS equal to or slightly above the highest RMS your selected speaker has so that you can add/have the option to add a second sub without problem later.

save up an extra $80 and you can get away with a single shiva, a us acoustics USX2100 (300x1@4ohm bridged and will put out a tad more power), and a knukoncept 4 gauge amp kit

My friend has the same problem. He has a lower model Pioneer Player and RF 8 gauge kit already and was wondering what kind of setup he can get for $300 CA. JMAC, any suggestions? He also has a box for one 10" only, this is in a 85 Chev short cab. All he needs is a sub and an amp.......... I was thinkin maybe a JL 10w0 with an Ultimate Amp maybe.............

You can get on Ebay a Profile 800sx amp for around $130 with shipping. The $70 you can buy a nice sub not a box though on Ebay. If you saved your money you can pick up a Alpine Type R for $120 with shipping so only around $250 you can have a nice setup for cheap.

1 E12Kd4 and a 300.1 for bout $260. Sealed for SQ, ported tuned low for more SPl but still sound good.
