line out converter?!
I have a JL sub hooked up to my bose system using a line out converter but there seems to be something wrong with it? I was wondering what might be the problem. THere is signal going to the speaker but even with my 240 watt amp bridged into one channel and pushed to max gain it still doesn't hit like it should. it there something wrong with using a line out converter because i had a store install it for me? What could be the problem? Please Help!!!!!
i had the same prob...factory headunits put out no output voltage, a line driver would help, but the best way is to get rid of your bose system, I had factory in my neon, then i realized it was not good. www.sounddomain.com/id/tayls
the head unit only puts out a weak signal less than 1V. Find the built in factory amp and splice in to the from speakers, that way when you fade it to the front some you generate more signal to/from the line out convertor (L.O.C) then use your rca's to carry the signal to the amp.
