drop it, i dropped a junker cuz the basket wasnt coming off and then it just popped off, but id do hammer if it is a good sub.

it has the screws, but im guessin its gonna a bead of glue (rubber/ca) holding in place... ive ran across a couple subs like this.

Unscrew it, then just pry it up with a flathead.

Usually there are screws and you take those out, then pry the basket off of the motor. It'll take a little force since the magnetic force will probably be holding the basket in place.
DON'T put your hand under the motor though. I learned the hard wayYanked the basket off and had a 50lb motor smash 3 fingers. . . it hurt

I took a block of wood and placed it on the pole piece and hit the basket. Popped right off.
This was on a 2002-2003 resonant engineering se10
stuff and such
When I dismantled my eclipse alum. It had six screws and was also glued with the motor. Use a flathead like a chisel, put the tip directly in the joint and hit it with a hammer.![]()

guess i should of mentioned i took the screws out already, and its still glued on................already broke a decent size flat head tip lol.
you can wear the basket as a hat to a SPL competition
I did that just before removing the basket...heaviest hat I ever wore
