Because anything above 40 hz is almost non-existent in this box.

I'm not sure ask 80 it's his design.

    mmmmm

2006 Bright Island Blue 6s: stock 6 disc in dash, Hertz Hi-Energy 6.5" comps, MB Quart Ref 12", eclipse 5-channel sub amp.

Car mods: Lowered on Mazdaspeed springs with Koni Yellow shocks, Racing beat front/rear sway bars with AWR end links, LED turn signals, tail lights, front side markers, 18" ADR Cypher rims, 55w HID's in low beam and fogs, 5% tint all the way around. No go fast mods yet...tuning and Mazda6 don't go well together .

Steve a.k.a. ss3079: So this one lady goes, "These ignorant people who drive around blasting there music, they cant hear emergency vehicles"
So that set me off, and I said "Well then why do they let deaf people drive?"

For a 10 it was. I didn't really get to listen very long but what I did get to hear was crazy loud. I'd compare the spl to my old 15"type R with 600 watts.

Well, I don't know. I thought I had it hooked to 1 ohm to a opti2000d (The T/s's said Dual 1.4 ). nThere was no bass boost and almost 1/4 of the gain set getting ready to set it with a DMM to 1000 watts. I figured what the hey and go ahead and give it a listen. I turned some test tones on and listened to a few. Then I put music in....I played Late Night Tip and I started to increase the volume. I got to about 24/40 and the amp shut off. I was like WTF. I open the trunk and its in protect mode. I unhook the sub and test the final ohm load and it's .5 on my DMM. I have the sub wired parallel-parralel.

one of the good things about a properly designed bandpass box...it leaves off where your midbass suppose to pick up..
i would set the lowpass xover at 80hz ..cuz it sounds like u have it set too low

but that box looks really good....i'm impressed with your building skills...and i'm sure it wasnt that hard to build either
