    can I hit 140 ?

can I get 140db out of 2 15" soundstream model pcs15? or 2 of the adire audio 15" tempests in a sealed box. I want some hard *** hittin' bass and the most I want to spend on a pair of woofers is 300-400$ sq is of no importance in the matter and i prefer to go with 15"s even if it's only one.

ported hell yea... sealed good luck... unless you paid someone to build your sealed box to spec perfectly... but forget that... just port it... and you'd be in the 150's like a hot knife goin through butter.............

with a pair of 15"s i would hope to all hell you can hit 140's rather easily even sealed. i ran a pair of Blaupunkt Overdrive 12"s in a 4.5cuft sealed box off of a single MA audio 5011DX getting 1000watts rms hit a 144.8 on the dash. that is from a pair of maybe decent 12"s doing a mid 140 in a sealed box. i hope to be hitting 152 with a single L7 15" in the upcoming weeks. should be able to do it easily.

No go fast mods yet...tuning and Mazda6 don't go well together .

you can definatly get 140 in a sealed box, i have no doubt about that. A friend of mine hit 145 with 2 12" RF HX2's in a 4 cuft sealed box. Now those are supposed to be terrible subs, and if you add the extra area of the 15's i beleive you could hit 140 easily in a sealed box.

In the process of building an enclosure for 2 12" Magnum D2's... should be fun :thumbsup

If SQ is of no concern then look towards other drivers. Shocker, treo, kove, dd, etc.

Is this not a reasonable place to park?

I don't think +140 is that hard with 2 15s. Especially the Tempest. You will have no problem hittin over it if it was ported. I hit 151dB with only 2 12s with about 2100 watts with my ported box tuned to 34hz.

Unless the 12s or the 15s were on a switch......or else I wouldn't recommend 2 12s and 2 15s either, especially they are different brand subs.......
