Mustang v6s are junk, especially the mid 80s. But then a v6 jimmy isn't that fast

why does everyone hate on the mustangs... i have a 2002 and am quite happy with it. sure it may lack a lil on the interior but its pretty fast, and my friends agree for a 15k car. im sure yall are gonna have some **** abou how it ***** or is slow, but it really isnt. the svt's are incredibly fast and no stock car i know of can beat it for the same price. sure you can always buy a 1k car, put 30k of pure engine into it... but seriously, they have a very nice body and fit me very well. i dont know the real reason that you say bad stuff about it other than your single names you come with for it...

I honestly don't have that much dislike for mustang. came close to buying one when I was 17. true they aren't that fast or pretty, but cheap to fix up. it is a nice STARTER fast car. I truely think that everyone hast there own opinios(sp) and that is what they will stick to, chevy Guys love chevys, fords love fords. I was given a 93 drop top stang for my sister and I to share. it was a four banger, but it was red and a drop top and I loved it. thill I got my Dakota. it is all opinion. peace

ya, i guess im just into older muscle cars (if i could i would have gotten a 60-70 mustang) but i didnt...

i am just now realizing that i could have gotten a 1972 or so corvette stingray for about 7k, and spend 10k to fix it up and ****. that would have been BAD ***. but ill get that in 10 years or if i ever get in a wreck totaled (other persons fault, never mine)

and i am 17, and im thinking that every younger kid wants a mustang or some cool american muscle car

alright to those who say Jimmy's are slow i will put mine up against any 6 cylinder mustang on the road. i smoked a 2002 GT mustang today on my way home. i never said my jimmy was stock but it's still a V6, so before you go bashing my car saying no way in hell could i beat a GT Mustang know that i have a typhoon engine in my car. i'm a ford and GMC guy although now i'm saving to get a Jetta for my next car.

and you said you smoked a v8 mustang gt? I guess that's possible. GT's have 240 or 250 I think, stock. I would think the weight on your jimmy would slow you down though, wouldn't it? I dont' know that much about the physics of cars, it's just a hunch.

Over 300 HP to the wheels, thats roughly 350-370ish horsepower at the crank. Versus the 240 or 250 of the mustang. **** I would have liked to see that spanking that you handed to that guy.........
