i am using the 10" version right now and i can say they are one of the best subs priced around $50. with the 12", you should expect more SPL and SQ.

I just got my pioneer 12" IMPP VCCS subs and profile California 600msx amp. I only paid 50 bucks a peice for the subs and 109 for the amp. Im bettin that they were the best fifty dollars ive ever spent.lol Right now i have them in my room being powered by a computer power supply until i can get my amp install kit in then they go in my car.

price of speakers have nothing to do wit the sound they are going to be giving out...i paid 140 for 2 12s that are just as good if not better then W7...they are compared to w7s..750 rms 2000peak....so u dont need 500 dollar speakers to be loud....

Re: Are Pioneer 12"s worth 54.12 with tax apiece The IMPP

Whys that so funny Jmac ???

Ive done very extensive research in horn based enclosures with subwoofers and to my amazement , subs the same size in diameter close to same wattages output varied very very slightly ! this was a german science fair I attended in 2003 and witnessed an audio project that in my opinion although the enclosure to big for almost any car showed me efficiancy is all that matters. With this said, yes ! you take two subs a w7 for example, **EXAMPLE** fish it 500watts RMS , and a solobaric 500W RMS , in the proper enclosure .... they will hit close to the same level of spl one a few decibals more then the other !

the negation in differential transients will not affect the listeners choice to distinguish which is better, yet one cost 600$ the other what... 200$ YOU CHOSE !

Then you have... BASS HEADS like me, now and then ill jam out to mozart to test sound quality and will say a spl sub is not choice... but you dont see chicks looking at my car jammin to mozart 5 blocks away !

you hear 200watts RMS treble, and about 800watts RMS of clean bass , and somthing movin to the beat.. oh
    thats my head

moral: YOU GET WHAT YOU LIKE WITH HOW MUCH YOU SPEND WITH THE DIFFERENCE OF CHOICE AND OPINIONATION TO THOSE WHO ARE VERY INTELLIGENT OVER YOU. AND A w7 archetectually handles what it says it handles, that will be the difference of sub to its comparrison .

if one were to do a sub olympics, ide bet on SPL of the w7

jMAC BTW your glass instructions are primo aka the BOMB , ****** formatted, and very very very helpfull.
