05 RE XXX 12" vs TC Sounds TC-3000 15"

i currently have an 05 XXX 12" in a 2.5 cu ft @ 28hz box, im thinkin of switchin to a 15" tc-3000 in a 2cu ft sealed box, do you think that the tc-3000 sealed would be louder than my 12" xxx ported? of the same amp (orion 1200D), also is the 1200D 0.5 ohm stable daily? as the tc-3000 has a quad voice coil so i could configure it for 0.5 ohms) thanks for any advice

ive just never been a fan of sealed boxes, i would try to see if you could port the 15 or maybe keep the XXX or port a 12" 3000

well suposively the tc gets real loud in a sealed box, but porting would be hard as its recommended tuning is 20hz, however tc is releasing passive radiators soon to kinda "fake a port" on the box, just wondering if it would get louder than my xxx sealed, it would be nice if someone did a comparison...

I can attest to the fact thatd the TC-3000 gets very loud even in a sealed enclosure. Judging by air volume they should be about the same spl, but yes if radiators are used that will easily push the 3000 ahead.

also, im curious would i lose the "punch in the gut" feeling by goin sealed with the tc-3000? or would it still be present?

Do you have a budget? May want to look at an Si MAG 15.

do you think the si mag 15" would outperform the TC-3000 by that much to warrent the extra $200 US in cost? i dont think it would... (tc = $395, Si=$600)

well i bit the bullet today and placed an order for a 12" mag d2, im really hoping that im able to get it louder than my xxx was... it was loud but i want louder and sounding good at the same time
