trucks with a lot of thump...

does anyone have a truck with alot of thump. Because if i get a dodge 1500 quad cab, am wondering can i put one 18'' up under the rear seat. i went to sounddomain.com and i saw some trucks with like 2 10''s & 12''s but i want different unless it want be able to fit. it not going to be a competition truck or anything, because i don't want to tear down my rear seating section of my truck for some speakers,am just going to drive it to school & work. But when they have truck shows i want to be able to compete in it also. so one 18'' will be daily & comp. ( if possible )

why do most people say they one rather have two 15'' then 18'' subz.
-i heard one guy say two sub are fun to play around with.
-another one told me that two 15'' will hit harder than one 18''

truck bumper & more tell me what you think

Take out the rear seats and build a wall. Boom...put 2 15s in and you'll own the comps (with the right subs)

Okay...I'll say it. You not gonna get a 18 OR a 15 under ANY seat.

yea that what am going have to do. Go with three 12''s because i saw a guy for myself with the same truck i got. and he had two kicker vr 12's flushed under the rear. and the other sub was in the front of the truck. Under the middle front seat. in a custom made box. So right now i know i can get some 12's and it's a dude on sounddomain memeber page with 2 10 under rear sear and 10 under middle front seat..

    couple of 12's
    what kind ???
am talking about some sub that are normal magnet size. not nothing like inhuman or xxx stuff like that.
i was looking into 12's like image dynamics, cyrstal cmpx2, jl audio w7, kicker comp vr's

well whatever come to mind am going go ahead and check it out.
want decent sq but more spl

don't let these guys tell ya it can't be done......if you think about it long enough, i'm sure you can find a way. If all else fails, FIBERGLASS!

An idea would be to make one box for comps, and one for daily driving like i did. You can unbolt your rear seats when you're going to comps and stick a big-*** ported box in there, and make a smaller more accomadatable sealed or low tuned ported box for daily use.

no way in hell your going to get 5-6 (that's the minimum for most 18's) cubic feet ported under a rear seat for an 18 man - sorry it's not going to happen

and what fool would seal an 18 anyways

It can't be done...I'll say it 50 more times. IT CAN"T BE DONE! Seriously...think a 15 under a seat is impossible...now think of an 18...and think of the depth of most 18s. Think about putting an 18 inch wheel under a back seat...It is not gonna happen.

going with loneranger idea, right now just use some for daily driving like some eclispe or kicker vr's something like that. Jus to have some bass. but whenever i go to a show or something ( holly ****, i will be known ) not right now though.

i never heard eclispe subs before. am talking about the ones that is 750-1500 peak. if you have heard dem tell what you think.

didn't mean to start a big mess over a problem of mines, but thanks to all the car audio wizardz out there i am now learning piece by piece.

    correct if am wrong:

    SPL=SOUND PRESSURE LEVEL=BASS
SQ=SOUND QUALITY=WORD COMING OUT OF THE WOOFER
( never heard any SQ woofers, are the L7's consider as sq woofer or spl )

SPL = The quest to be the loudest person you know
SQ = The quest to cover up the fact that you can't be the loudest person you know by buying expensive comp sets and overpriced woofers.

I'm just kidding guys, so don't get all crazy on me

Lol....Ya I don't think its possible either. My friend wanted to put even a sinle 15 and it couldn't be done, fibreglass or not. We tried a few subs too, not even with the smallest mag and the smallest room enclosure and it didn't work He had an 1996 chev tho
